Resilience is about how you recharge, not how you endure

As leaders we often pride ourselves for how much we can muscle. Productivity, multi-tasking and even overworking are praised in our culture and seen as cornerstones for our devotion to work. Resilience is often used as a way to describe our ability to bounce back, no matter what obstacles are thrown in our path towards success. But new research is suggesting that “powering through it” is detrimental on a long term basis, and that resilience is truly about how we best recharge and maintain productivity in our workforce.
